Two more Penn State players cited

I might as well make this a weekly segment here – two more Penn State players were cited for underage drinking over the past weekend. Ryan Breen was apprehended just after 3 a.m. Sunday on Pollock Road near Schwab Auditorium, according to university police. That came two days after Joe Suhey was apprehended about 11:30 p.m. Friday at Nittany Apartments.

Neither player affects the team from an on-the-field perspective although Breen is the backup punter and is on the travel squad. Suhey is a backup tailback but hasn't played in a game this season.

On any given year this would be a meaningless charge and the kids would run some extra laps at practice but this team is getting completely out of control. Posse beatdowns, sexual assaults, underage drinking – where are the leaders? I'm in complete agreement with RUTS on this team, how can you like these kids? They can't control themselves and there is no one… not any single person stepping up and taking a leadership role. Not the coaches, not the captains, no one.

Apparently cleaning the stadium after home games hasn't sunk in to these guys it's going to take something more. I don't pretend to have all the answers but I do know that this team needs a sharp kick in the ass, we as fans deserve better.

These kids are dumb and all, but something seems fishy here. These are the fourth players in the past two months to get stopped just walking across campus. Are the PSU campus cops just stopping people and carding them if they are seen walking around campus after 1:00 AM? And if they are under 21 are they required to blow into the tube? On what grounds? Because they are walking across campus at 1 AM they must be drunk!

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but it sure sounds like PSU is turning into a police state or someone is out to bring down the football players.

I would imagine that these kids are probably visibly drunk - think back to your days before you were legal: did it take much alcohol to make you drunk? It didn't take much for me.
