Paterno can be “fixed”

I understand that squeezing information from Joe Paterno is like squeezing water from a stone but come on Joe, really?

Penn State coach Joe Paterno was vague Thursday night when discussing what doctors told him the day before about his ailing right leg and hip.

"It's not something that can't be fixed," Paterno said Thursday on his weekly radio show. "But it's gonna be fixed. When we do it, I'm not sure."

Ok, mum about offensive schemes or personnel I understand but holding back information about your injury; what does that get you? You know this isn't the last we're going to hear about this it will probably be the first question in next week's press conference. If he just came out and said 'I need surgery to fix Problem A and I'm not going to get it until the end of the season' it would be over with. Sometimes I just don't get the man.

"Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic man. Naturally, the goal is to avoid any possibilty of the body rejecting these new parts. So, of course, we're going to use a front axle and CV joint from a 1927 Ford Model T."
