Blogpoll: Still working out the kinks

Round two is in the books and we're still shaking out some misaligned preseason ideas. Next week's excellent slate of games looks like it could be the first week a loss doesn't drop you out of the poll and wins bring about the reappearance those that already did. Logic gets dicey beginning in the mid-teens, but corrections, suggestions and objections are always welcome.

Games watched: South Carolina/Vanderbilt, Ohio/Ohio State, Miami(OH)/Michigan, Oregon State/Penn State, Miami/Florida and Texas/UTEP.

Dropped Out: West Virginia (#9), South Carolina (#24).

Moving Up:
East Carolina - has already accomplished more in the first two weeks of this season than Hawaii did in its entirety last year.

Alabama - this jump is bothering me, they were very impressive against Clemson, not so much against Tulane. I probably have them higher than I should.

Georgia Tech - I've been surprised they've played as well as they have with transition to the new system brought in by Paul Johnson.

Moving Down:
Ohio State - all the classic signs of being caught looking ahead, will certainly vault back up the rankings with a win this weekend.

BYU - Washington looked beyond awful last week and by all rights was looking at overtime against the Cougars. In fact, I should adjust them below Oregon at this point.
