Congratulations to the Parkland Trojans, coming up when it mattered. Sam Tajiri scored the go-ahead touchdown, then blocked the winning field goal with 5 seconds remaining to ensure the 16-14 victory and send the Hazleton Area Cougars home. Nate Eachus – he was okay, again (34 carries for 191 yards). I believe this marks the furthest Parkland has gone in the PIAA Playoffs since the halcyon days of 2002, when Austin Scott and Nick Pinchek lined up in the backfield. Wooo!
