How much is an Xbox 360 worth?

RUTS is already ahead of me on this, but it’s still worth noting. Wisconsin first-team All-Big Ten cornerback Jack Ikegwuonu and his twin brother were arrested for breaking into an off-campus apartment and trying to steal an Xbox game console.

Let's just hope it was a 360 and not the one you can get for $100 on e-bay

Here’s the interesting part - Wisconsin's student-athlete discipline policy states that a student-athlete will be suspended for being arrested or charged with a variety of crimes, including "felony theft or felony criminal damage to property.” The key words are “being arrested” which would infer that Jack is gone but that’s not what the athletic department is saying.
"We are currently gathering and reviewing the facts of the incident to determine our course of action, which may or may not include suspension under the terms of our student-athlete discipline policy," said a Thursday statement from the Wisconsin athletics department.
Ahh… I see, no hypocrisy here. I have to admit that I’m a tad jaded when it comes to this sort of thing because years ago Paterno was highly criticized for letting Rashard Casey on the team despite charges of assault on an off-duty police office. Casey was later found innocent by a jury, something Paterno knew all along. Furthermore, it’s ridiculous that student code of conduct rules at universities read like Gestapo manuals. When did it become ok for a university to punish someone for the very accusation of a crime without a fair trial? How un-American can you be when a person is treated like a criminal until they prove themselves innocent? I’m a person that believes in strict student-athlete discipline but it’s ridiculous that the mere mention of impropriety is cause for suspension.
