Should we just paint the Chuck Bednarik award blue and white?

Last night Penn State linebacker Dan Connor won the 2007 Chuck Bednarik Award given to the nation's top defensive player. It marks the third straight year the award was won by a Nittany Lion; Paul Posluszny won it in both 2005 and 2006.

"The reason I went to Penn State is because it's Linebacker U," Connor said during the award presentation. "To be even mentioned in the same breath as Paul Posluszny, Jack Ham and Shane Conlan, that's an unbelievable honor."

Well said and congrats Dan now go win the Butkus.
