Ladies and Gentlemen introducing your new safeties coach: Kermit!

Yeeeaaahhh!

Ok, so it's not that Kermit it's this Kermit.

Kermit Buggs, a member of the Penn State football staff since 2003, has been named the Nittany Lions' safeties coach….

In his fifth season at Penn State, Buggs has served as Coordinator of Player Personnel the past two seasons. Among his responsibilities have been serving as a liaison between the coaching staff and academic support staff, coordinating the freshman mentorship program and assisting in the coordination of on-campus recruiting.

So yeah, I didn't know Buggs existed but I guess he has a little coaching experience.

Prior to coming to Penn State, Buggs was a successful high school coach, leading Surry County High School in Dendron, Va. to a 34-14 record from 1999-2002. His 1999 squad was 14-0 and won the Division I state championship and Buggs was named the state's Division I Coach of the Year.

Welcome to the show Kermit.
