Paterno will not attend Temple game

Joe Paterno had missed only one game in his 41-year head-coaching career, but Saturday will make number two. From his Mount Nittany Medical Center hospital room, Paterno told his assistants that it would be better for him to stay away then become a distraction.
"You guys know what you're doing and what I want enough that I don't need to be there creating a huge distraction Saturday," he told the coaches, according to a team statement. "Enough on me; let's get back to football."
Although reports state he is “doing well” this is a smart move on Paterno’s part, questions of his health pretty much monopolized the weekly press conference with Galen Hall and Tom Bradley.
