-Both Quarterbacks Anthony Morelli and backup Daryll Clark are cleared for takeoff against Illinois this weekend. And the peasants rejoiced...

RIGHT! A Quarterback's like wood?... let's build a bridge out of 'em!

-Fire Mark May has a stunning confession by a referee, probably a Big Ten ref. Let me just say this: I knew it all along!! IrishOutsider never ceases to amaze me.

-Although Illionois is a 17 point underdog, taking their quarterback lightly could be a mistake for the Nittany Lion defense. The Collegian says “Bottle up the Juice.” Isiah "Juice" Williams that is.

-Finally, the whinny crybaby takeover of the Penn State administration continues. First they took away alcoholic beverages in the parking lots during games, then they squashed Paternoville, now they are after Zombie Nation (HT: Mike). If there are legitimate fears of a Beaver Stadium collapse because of people jumping around, Penn State has much larger concerns then the song list. This new paternalistic philosophy of the administration is really starting to become a problem. I almost hate to ask the question, but what's next?

Am I just too old? The alcohol thing is practically unenforceable. Paternoville is a liability nightmare, especially once it became so popular. As for Zombie Nation, I hate it. I understand the attraction, but it shouldn't be necessary in the first place.

Yes you are getting too old run. Just kidding. Actually I agree 100% with your analysis of Zombie Nation (other then the song sucks), it WAS being overplayed. Now, like you point out in your post, it is only being played during turnovers, big plays, etc... Perhaps this isn't such a bad thing.

I'll tell you what is next. Tailgating.

We were told by parking attendants on Saturday morning (as they we parking us too closely to set up canopies, etc) that "yeah, they're trying to curb tailgating" - dumbfounded I answered "curb tailgating? You can not be serious." the answer was "oh yes, it's out of control." A bit more early arguing ensued - but, luckily for us it didn't "curb" our fantastic homecoming tailgate.

But perhaps it's only in the "common man" who is "out of control" (ie yellow parking) - because "preferred" parking was widely spaced and, of course there are no bans on canopies in reserved parking.

I'm sick and tired and tired and sick of the administrations asinine knee jerk reactions - the ban 5 years (or so) ago on "negative cheering" was ridiculous -

Kerncraft 400 is fun in moderation - I like the Song 2 "woo hoo" - the band now plays 7 nations army -
but there is no reason or excuse for not playing Fight on State after scores - what is this? The NBA?
