Texas A&M-Commerce that is. The Div II school has asked Oklahoma for permission to contact Bomar to discuss a possible transfer. Two days after Bomar was dismissed for accepting large amounts of cash for working banker’s hours at a Norman car dealership, it seems he still may have options. Jim Johnson, director of athletics for A&M-Commerce, released the following statement:
"First and foremost, like the University of Oklahoma, Texas A&M University-Commerce is an NCAA member institution firmly committed to following all NCAA rules and legislation," Johnson said. "We are firmly committed to ensuring that we diligently educate our coaches, student-athletes and boosters on those rules.
"That said, we have sent a request, per NCAA legislation, to the University of Oklahoma asking permission to contact Rhett Bomar and to discuss the possibility of his transfer to A&M-Commerce.
"Until the release is returned to us, we have no further comment at this time regarding Bomar."
Why in the hell hasn’t Oklahoma said anything yet, this is our future man, help a brother out!
Texas A&M -Commerce not just for Wade Wilson anymore!
Rest assured, we at TNL will keep a close eye on developments as they happen.
