Much to the consternation of French men and women everywhere, an American has won the Tour de France for the eight time in a row. A year after cycling great and French antagonist Lance Armstrong retired after 7 wins in a row, Floyd Landis won the Tour de France on Sunday, retaining cycling's most prestigious title in American hands. After loosing 10 minutes and dropping from 1st to 11th place, Landis roared back to take the lead in what many believe to be one of the greatest comeback rides in the history of cycling. His parents are Minnonite and live in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where Floyd grew up. They didn’t have a TV and had to watch from a neighboor’s house to see their son, and didn’t even see him win live because they were in church. I’m no expert, but I’m guessing the only foreign substance Floyd will test postive for is Scrapple.
Heart attack on a plate!

Scrapple and unpastuerized milk. Just goes to show that Americans with cancer and bad hips will beat an international field any day. I here next year South Florida as a whole will enter the Tour.
Thanks for the link, Dan and I love the new blog. I'll link it in the very near future.
