Fan Advisory Level Updated

We at The Nittany Line in cooperation with the Department of Nittany Lion Homeland Security have raised the Football Fan Panic Level to Orange or “HIGH” due to the recent loss to Michigan and subsequent 4-3 record.

We don’t make this change lightheartedly, reasons abound for this new level: Alex over at The Nittany Notebook is talking about next year, Run over at Run Up The Score is calling last year a “fluke,” and I found myself defending the coaching staff to a long time Penn State fan before I was able to have breakfast Sunday morning. We are definitely entrenched at a high level of fan panic. Brandi has already started to dig the fallout shelter in the back yard and I am heading to Lowe’s on my lunch break for copious amounts of duct tape and plastic – just in case. Rest assured we will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed.

I love how you guys call me "Run". It makes me want to belt out "Christmas In Hollis" or reenact the scenes from the "Mary Mary" video.

"Run-DMC says, keep a healthy body! We'z aerobicizing!"

Incidentally, I think I'm somewhere between "elevated" and "high". The opportunities for good news this season are dwindling quickly. We'll finish with seven or eight wins, and probably blow out a bad bowl opponent.
